Joining a challenge & reading the leaderboard
How to join with a code, how results update, and what the leaderboard shows.
Three ways in
- Enter the 8-character code in the app under Challenges → Join.
- Tap an invite link — if the app is installed it opens right in the challenge; otherwise the web page shows the leaderboard and a link to download it.
- Scan the QR card the challenge creator shared.
How results update
You don't report anything manually. After every completed walk (and whenever you open the app) your phone calculates your total for the challenge and sends that single number. The web leaderboard updates within minutes.
Only walks inside the challenge's time window count, and the window covers whole days — a walk on the last evening still counts.
Reading the leaderboard
Ties share a rank. The list shows 50 rows per page, and your own row stays visible while you browse — tap "Which one is you?" on the web page to mark it. That choice is stored only in your browser.
A row marked "Left participant" is someone who left the challenge; their result remains so standings aren't distorted, but their name is anonymized.
